Fertility Protein Smoothie

This recipe is set up to focus on foods that contain fertility supportive nutrients: antioxidants, healthy fats and protein. Whilst I’m not a massive fan of smoothies when it’s cold (I live in the UK!), they can plug a gap, especially if your digestion can’t quite cope with huge meals first thing but you need to start plugging the protein gaps and balancing your blood sugars!

INGREDIENTS (Serves 1)

  • 300ml of almond milk

  • 100g of frozen blueberries

  • 1 tbsp. of almond butter

  • ½ tsp. of maca

  • 1 medjool date

  • ¼ avocado

  • A scoop of protein powder equating to minimum 25g of protein (check protein powder used to clarify amount of scoops)

METHOD

Place everything in the blender with some ice and blend until smooth.
